About the Organization: The Pak Mission Society (PMS) is a relief and development organisation that was founded in 2004 and registered on February 13, 2008, at the Office of the Provincial Registrar Joint Stock Companies & Societies, Peshawar, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, in accordance with the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. A group of Christian professionals founded Pak Mission Society with the goal of bringing compassion and hope to people by providing long-term development and rehabilitation programs and emergency relief in the wake of tragedies and human suffering. Pak Mission Society was established to reach and serve unreached and underprivileged communities regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, religion, and social background. Job Summary:
To ensure the implementation of all deliverables, including BOQs, drawings, and social and technical feasibilities, in a timely manner, while adhering to PMS rules and regulations and keeping an eye on construction activities.
Job Responsibilities:
Planning and coordinating construction activities: At a field site, he will be in charge of organising and supervising all construction-related tasks. This covers resource management, budgeting, and scheduling.
Ensuring safety and quality control: I'll make sure that every construction project is completed safely and to the necessary high standards. This entails carrying out routine inspections and making sure that safety rules are followed.
Managing subcontractors and workers: He will be in charge of overseeing employees and subcontractors at the project site. This include monitoring employees' schedules, keeping an eye on them, and making sure they have the required tools and training.
Reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints: In order to make sure that construction operations are carried out in accordance with the specifications, he needs to be able to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
Informing project managers of progress: Send project managers progress updates on a regular basis that include the state of construction operations, any problems discovered, and any adjustments made to the budget or timeline.
Communicating with interested parties: Communicate with all relevant parties, including engineers, architects, and local authorities, to make sure that all building operations adhere to project specifications and legal requirements.
Job Specifications:
Education:
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline from a university recognised by the HEC, or a comparable degree.
Work Experience:
three years or more of experience in a similar role in the social and development sector.
Working with marginalised and impoverished populations in Khairpur and NGOs/INGOs will be preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Implementation of technical and programmatic quality
Recognising the integrated and collaborative approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and the Internet
practical familiarity with AutoCAD software
Maintaining Records (Reports, Records, and Databases)
The majority of the work that would be completed by the employee in this role are covered by the aforementioned duties; however, employees may be assigned any additional official tasks as needed.
