A national non-profit organisation with a multidisciplinary focus on development is called LASOONA-Relief and Development Organisation. It was founded in 1997 by a committed, forward-thinking group of civic-minded individuals who were passionate about promoting the development of natural resources and human capital in Pakistan's most vulnerable and underdeveloped regions. Under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, it was registered as an NGO in 1998. The organisation was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in accordance with section 42 of the Companies Act 2017 and formed as a not-for-profit company in 2023. In accordance with Section 2(36) of the Income Tax Ordinance, LASOONA is exempt from taxes and has been approved or accredited by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP). Welthungerhilfe (previously called German Agro Action) was founded in 1962. Today, it is one of Germany's major business sector organisations dedicated to development cooperation and humanitarian help. Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is a non-profit, nonpartisan, and nondenominational organisation. Public donations support its operations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. WHH also receives financing from the Federal German Government, the European Union, the BMZ, and the United Nations.
