Position Summary:  

The social mobiliser will be in charge of project field level implementation activities such as community mobilization, assessments, beneficiary selection based on criteria, and ensuring ground-level execution of project structural and capacity-building initiatives. 

Job responsibilities: 

Create a strategy for community interaction and arrange initial dialogue meetings with the communities.  

Ensure that beneficiaries are assessed and registered according to the established criteria. 

To collaborate with the community to ensure that identified needs are met and that all members of the community participate.  

Forming village development committees through societal mobilization for CBT activities.  

Establish and maintain regular touch with committees.  

To create a distribution plan in consultation with the Cash distribution Committees.  

Organism and conduct community meetings.  

To assist the field officer in developing case studies on successful events.  

Ensure community participation in cash-based transfer assessment, planning, and execution.  

Ensure a favorable climate at disbursement points using community engagement strategies.  

 

Qualification and Experience:  

Masters in social sciences, international relations, health care, or a similar discipline.  

Overall, three years of experience, including at least two years of social mobilization.  

Proficiency in Sindhi and local languages, both spoken and written.  

Excellent ability to communicate and counsel about behavior change.  

Excellent workflow organization skills, as well as the ability to adhere to protocols and take initiative.  

Excellent teamwork skills.  

Ability to operate in a setting with bodily discomforts caused by changes in weather or by noise, dust, or dirt. 

Willingness and aptitude to be flexible and adaptable when faced with challenging and frustrating working conditions, such as long distance walking to work or distribution sites.  

Excellent spoken and written Urdu and English language skills. 

Good computer abilities, including the ability to generate weekly and monthly reports and perform data analysis.  

Good interpersonal and communication skills.  

Previous experience working on WFP CBT/FFA initiatives is beneficial.  

Candidates from the Human Appeal intervention areas/UCs district would be prioritized.  

Knowledge of PSEA, Protection and GBV, Gender and Inclusiveness in the recovery setting.
