Reporting Line:
The Project Manager will get direct reports from the occupant of the role.
1. Objective:
In addition to developing and overseeing the project's communication plan, the monitoring and communication specialist will make sure that monitoring and assessment procedures are implemented effectively and efficiently. This position includes monitoring the status of the project, assessing its impact, and making sure that all stakeholders are informed in a clear and consistent manner. The specialist will collaborate closely with project teams to gather information, evaluate findings, and effectively and succinctly convey findings.
2. Key Responsibilities/ Functions:
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E):
Create and implement a thorough M&E structure for the project that includes reporting procedures, data collection techniques, and indicators. Track the development of project activities in relation to predetermined goals and targets, making sure that timely and correct data gathering is done, Make routine field visits to evaluate the success of project interventions and offer suggestions for enhancements. Prepare thorough reports for project management and donors after analysing M&E data to assess the project's impact on recipients. Make ensuring that project decision-making is informed by M&E findings and that these findings are effectively communicated to stakeholders.
Communication Strategy Development and Implementation:
Create and put into action a communication plan that supports the goals of the project and increases its effect and exposure. Create excellent communication materials to share project outcomes and success stories, such as newsletters, reports, press releases, and social media content. Oversee the project's online presence on the website and social media channels, making sure the information is interesting and current. Organise communication between partners, stakeholders, and project teams to guarantee information exchange and consistent messaging.
Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy:
Ensure that all parties are informed and involved by facilitating communication between the project staff, beneficiaries, and external stakeholders. Plan and oversee meetings, workshops, and events to highlight the project's accomplishments. Establish and preserve connections with journalists, media outlets, and other important stakeholders to encourage favourable project coverage.
Capacity Building and Support:
Train project personnel and partners on M&E and communication best practices, and offer help in doing so. To improve the ability of project teams to gather, analyse, and communicate data, create training materials and lead workshops. To guarantee ongoing progress, encourage the incorporation of M&E findings into project design and execution.
Reporting and Compliance:
Make sure that all M&E and communication efforts adhere to donor specifications, project guidelines, and any laws. Prepare and provide project management and donors with frequent reports on M&E and communication efforts, results, and effect. In order to make adjustments, track and assess the communication strategy's efficacy using metrics and feedback.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
Create and use monitoring tools and indicators to keep an eye on the project's effects. Gather and evaluate data from SMEs to evaluate the project's performance in enterprise development. Create presentations and reports detailing the results, along with suggestions for enhancements.
Skills:
strong analytical abilities, including the capacity to understand facts and effectively explain conclusions. The ability to coordinate several assignments under strict deadlines and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
Language:
Proficiency in Urdu and English, as well as an understanding of the local language, will be advantageous.
